I've been teaching for 10 years at St. Ambrose. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6), Master of Science in Literacy (Birth-grade 6).
I have been happily married to my husband, Jeff Campito since July 2011. We met at age 3 while attending nursery school at St. Mary’s, Crescent in Halfmoon. We currently live in Ballston Spa, but we are planning to move back “home” to Clifton Park within the next year. We were Blessed with our first child, Grace in June of 2013. She has been a member of the St. Ambrose School community since age 3.
I am here at St. Ambrose for the community. I come to school each day to be with family. That’s what I want for my own children as well. I want the kids who walk through our doors to know they are loved, appreciated and have so much to be proud of. I love being in a place where my voice is valued and I can teach students the way THEY need to be taught, not how I’m told to teach the students in front of me.
I have 2 dogs in my family. My yellow lab, Punkin is 13 years old and my Siberian Husky, Sawyer is 8. Outside of school, I like to have experiences with my family. We will explore a new area, go to a fun place for the kids or try a new restaurant.
The last book I read was A Merciful Silence by Kendra Elliot. I like mystery and suspense novels. Suggestions please!
My favorite memory at St. Ambrose was the talent show in January 2017. I found myself tearing up watching students who have been with us for several years get up on stage and show off a talent I didn’t know they had. In many ways, our students become our children and I felt like a proud mom watching the students shine in their moments.
